Today I got to put Max in his wheelchair by myself. Then we had breakfast together. It was good & he really enjoyed both breakfast & lunch. This evening his tummy was a little full ~ it hasn't had solid food for a month now.
His arm is still sore and he's getting better at using it, but at a cost. It knots up and hurts pretty bad when he's working with it. Tomorrow he will get to try another wheelchair. This one is made to go all over, it will climb over rocks and curbs if you want it to. His therapist worked on getting him to balance himself forward and side to side. She was very impressed and said basically he had done what she had scheduled for him to learn the next week, today. He's making great strides.
Sorry I didn't get the schedule posted for today. We hit the ground running this morning and didn't have much of a chance to do much else.
Tomorrow his schedule is:
Physical Therapy 9:30 - 10:00
Occupational Therapy 10:00 - 11:00
Spinal Cord Injury Group - 11:00 - 11:30
at 12:30 we are going to the Univerrsity Hospital for a followup appointment at 1:00. We are scheduled to be there until 3:00.
Speech Therapy 4:00 - 4:30
It will be interesting to see what the Doctors have to say about his progress!
