Thursday Morning Written September 8, 2011 8:46am
Yesterday was a busy day. The kids had a game day in California with the homeschool group & we had a visitation last night.
I was on a fairly tight schedule and when I arrived at Dad's Ray & Rheanna were skinning something. They informed me it was a groundhog that had been tearing things up in the shed.
We were running just a little bit behind when we arrived in California. A quick trip home after that to change and then to Jefferson city for a visitation.
While we were gone, Max was on the tilt table and he made it to 70 degrees. He was excited!
A funny thing that happened earlier that morning was with his speech therapist. He had been waiting for her to come back all weekend. The therapist had been having him yell phrases to help strengthen his voice. We tried to go outside but it was to chilly for Max yesterday morning. She decided we could go to the cafeteria and practice instead of the room. The went to the back of the room and I went to get some coffee. Max was yelling....stop it Tori, I'm a married man.........What are you doing Tori, my wife is just around the corner........
Poor Tori, she was laughing and somewhat embarrassed because Max of course would wait until someone walked in or walked by out in the hall. It's neat to see the twinkle in his eye when he's being ornery.
His schedule for today is:
9:30 - 10:00 - Speech therapy
10-11 - Occupational therapy
11-12 - Spinal Cord Injury Group
2-3 - Physical Therapy
His throat is healing quickly, but his ribs are still hurting. Hopefully when they are feeling better he will be able to clear his lungs a little better.
Looking forward to what today may bring!
