Thanksgiving Day Written November 24, 2011 10:59am
Hopefully everyone is having a wonderful Thanksgiving. Even when things are not going exactly how you wanted them to go....know that you have many things to be thankful for.
We went in Monday because Max had something sticking out of his incision in his belly. He was sure that Sigorney Weaver was going to come busting in and take care of the alien in his belly. Well, it just turned out that it was a stitch that was working itself out. I asked the surgeon if it would dissolve and he said no, it stitched something in place so his guts wouldn't fall out. He's such a great surgeon! LOL
We went to see our van before it heads off to St. Louis to get the modifications. It's such a strange situation......excitement because this van will be easier for everyone to get in and out of, sadness because Max couldn't get in and check it out, sadness because we no longer can take our friends with us on outings. Even though the van is huge ~ it only seats 5 plus Max. I'm not even sure that my craft show stuff will fit in the van. I sure can't put it on top ~ the new top will make it really, really tall! The whole thought of pulling a trailer is something I don't want to think about. I know I can do all things through Christ....but some things I just never really wanted to do in the first place. LOL!
We will have next week together and then Max heads off to Rusk again. He will be there probably until the 23rd or 24th. Most of December will be spent without him. Why is doing things that are good for you so painful sometimes?
I pray everyone enjoys this beautiful day and remembers to give thanks for all you have and all the good times you have shared with family and friends.
