Saturday Morning at St. Marys Written October 15, 2011 9:37am
Yesterday wasn't one of Max's best days. His back hurt, they tried to switch his bed but the new bed made his legs move ~ it had sand and air in it ~ which made his spasm in his legs/abdomen trigger over and over again.
He hadn't had his medicine since Thursday morning so his heart rate was up. They wouldn't give him his medication because they thought his blood pressure was to low. It took a while to get everything straightened out. He also hadn't had his medicine for helping with the nerve endings. Everyone who came in kept moving his blanket on his legs and or patting his leg......they didn't realize that it wasn't a comforting gesture ~ it was a painful gesture! LOL It is such a natural reaction and I still find myself wanting lay my hand on his leg when I'm sitting beside him.
.
So other than spasm in his stomach & a 10" incision there. The ribs & back hurting from being moved and all the spams, he's good. He rested well last night.
As i was typing Max called me over and his stomach is bloating back up. Please pray the doctors have wisdom and they quickly figure out what is going on. Sometimes the figuring out and x rays are painful for him to be in the right position.
I'll let you know more as we know more.
