Saturday Morning Written September 17, 2011 10:36am
Friday was a good day. I had to run home and pick up the kids, do lots of errands and get back for Zack's surprise birthday party here at Rusk. That's 2 out of 3 children who have celebrated their birthday with their Dad at Rusk. I pray that Rheanna doesn't have to do the same!
Zack was really surprised for his birthday. It was fun seeing him be the center of attention. It's hard to believe that he's 17 years old.....how the time flies.
Max had a busy day of working hard and was in a lot of pain with his hand Friday night. The nerves are waking up and sometimes they really hurt. Max says its like a red hot poker going down his little finger and there is really not much you can do about it. We were running a little late getting back to Rusk. It's hard to be somewhere at a specific time when you can't tell everyone why you have to be somewhere at a certain time without them figuring out your planning something for them.
Today is our 23 wedding anniversary. It's fun to think back and remember what we were doing at different points of this day. Hard to believe that it's been that long, thankful we are celebrating this day together. A few times along the way I wasn't sure we were going to get to this day. God says he has it all under control and I believe Him. He hasn't failed us yet. What Satan meant for evil God has turned around.
Max has speech therapy at 11:00 and then he's going to make some chili for a cookoff here at Rusk on Monday. He's looking forward to that. He hasn't cooked since July 19th and he's more than ready! Hopefully I'll get to taste a little before it goes downstairs for everyone else to taste.
Enjoy your day, count your blessings ~ it's hard when your in the middle of every day life. All the little issues easily creep up upon you and then your distracted, busy & take people for granted. Choose today to thank God for his blessings, choose today to tell those you love, that you love them! If you see my babies out and about today ~ tell them we love them very much and will see them soon!
