There is so much to do and so little time anymore it seems. Life at the Wachter house is settling into a routine. Not a steady one, but something that resembles a routine. LOL
We have had a couple of outings to the park. Max is going to town with us a little more often. Little things that show things are going in the right direction.
Max reads a lot, he is really limited on what he can do without his new wheelchair, sometimes he plays games with us but usually it hurts his back to play to long. When we have company he will make a greater effort to play unless his back is really, really hurting.
We both have conflicting feelings about Max going back to Rusk. It's good but we are not really ready for him to be gone. I know for him it's a lot of uncertainty because there are things that he will have to do for himself.
We both see so many blessings from people around us. People praying, people stopping by, people blessing us with gifts.....I probably cry as much now from the generousity of people as I did before from the unknown.
You learn to appreciate the little things ~ yep, I know this is a re-occuring theme ~ Our cousins from Oregon sent us a Christmas Wreath from Oregon made with Evergreens. It brings the smell of Christmas into the house, because we chose to not put up a Christmas tree this year....(we may be the only people with a Christmas wreath inside our house instead of the outside of our door {grin}) ....it also reminds of us Mimi (Max's grandma) that passed away in January of this year. She would put her Christmas Wreath from Oregon up and it would stay up until way past Christmas. A visible symbol of love.
We are on our way to the park ~ the kids assure me it's one of the last days of nice weather and then we will get ready and head to the Union Christmas Dinner tonight. It will be good for Max to "railroad" and well, us wifes just stand around and smile knowingly.
Be blessed today and enjoy the weather.....for you never know what tomorrow may bring!
