Well, for some reason it ate my post ~ not sure I have the energy to re-do all of it. LOL
So here is today in a nutshell -
They removed the tube from his nose - replace it with a tube in his stomach. Much easier for him and they can always take it out when he starts to eat. Not so great news is he still can't swallow correctly.
His IV started burning very badly so they ended up putting a line in that goes toward his heart so they can give him medicine & draw blood if they need it. I think his poor veins are just sucked dry.
Good news, white blood cell count is down. Not sure why it was up yet. Still growing cultures to figure it out.
If everything stays good he will probably go to Rusk Monday or Tuesday. The kids & I stopped by and checked the place out and it looks nice. The weird thing is many of the people we befriended in the icu waiting room are there doing re-hab. Kinda of a weird reunion type thingy The families know each other, the patients don't.
Keep us in prayer ~ tomorrow morning ~ early God willing, we are going to run home and pick up the mail and some clothes for Max. He only had on socks & underwear when they brought him to the hospital. I think he would appreciate having on a little more than that.
