The plan today was for me to eat breakfast with Max and then head to California with the kids. So much for plans....LOL
Last night Max had a bad night. He woke up around midnight and couldn't breath. He had to have the therapist come in and help him. This morning they were trying to figure out what to do and what was going on. When they would cap him and he would cough he couldn't get the air around the traech in his throat. As small as it is, he should have no problem. They finally decided that something must be obstructing the traech. One day it's fine, the next day it's not. They have started him on more allergy medications to see if that will help with the swelling in his throat. They wouldn't let him wear the cap and he couldn't put his talking valve on unless someone was with him in the room. So it was closer to 11:30 when I left.
The kids and I had a great time talking on the way home. I stretched out on the floor because Ray wanted me to watch something on the tv real quick and ended up nodding off. I woke up because Buddy came over and gave me a big kiss on the face......yuck, Buddy! I think I nodded off again after the kids called him away. While it was good to get in a nap, the floor may not have been the best place to do that. My body was not impressed with the firmness of the floor.
While I was gone Max was on the tilt table. He got up to 65 degrees!! I'm so proud of him. He just keeps pushing himself along a little more each day. This day down and 21 to go until we get to go home......that is if they don't change the game plan between now and then.
I imagine he will have some therapy tomorrow but I don't have the schedule yet. If I have a chance to post it in the morning I will.
May the Lord keep you and bless you and give you sweet dreams.
